We’ve reached an important milestone with the completion of the migration of RFOX and VFOX over to the Orange Web3 ecosystem. This has been a considerable amount of work and we are pleased to announce that we have laid a solid foundation for future growth.

Staying True to Our Vision

Despite the changes in technology over the past year, our core mission remains unchanged. RFOX was founded to build cutting-edge tools and experiences that empower people in the metaverse and beyond. That vision to democratise digital creation and deliver immersive experiences continues to drive us every single day as it has since 2018. The move to Orange Web3 is an important step that supports this same goal. It has always been our goal to focus on the overarching technology and platform we set out to build, and that hasn’t wavered. In fact, with a stronger infrastructure beneath us, we’re more confident than ever in achieving what we promised.

The RFOX VALT Lives On

We also want to reaffirm that the RFOX VALT metaverse is alive and well. This rich virtual world we launched some years ago continues to operate, offering all the games, social experiences, and creative possibilities it always has. For those of you holding VALT NFTs – whether CitiXens, Apartments or Districts – these assets remain an important part of our future. They are among the earliest, most distinctive parts of the RFOX journey, and as the broader ecosystem grows these NFTs stand to gain visibility and relevance as early, scarce assets.

Our focus on more accessible and wider reaching tools and experiences has seen us add to the overarching technology which we will use, and that our partners already use or are testing. Going forward, we have plans to make the VALT even easier to access and enjoy, which will include but is not limited to, integrating new technology to broaden access beyond VR headsets, so that more people can experience our metaverse with less friction. These improvements won’t happen overnight, but they are on our internal roadmap. In the meantime, our team’s current focus is on supporting our growing network of partners who are building with our technology. This means you might not see major new VALT features for a little while, but rest assured that this behind-the-scenes work is strengthening the ecosystem that underpins the VALT. When the time is right, the VALT and the assets within it will benefit directly from these efforts.

It is no secret that we built a beautiful product that was and is in many ways cutting-edge and pushes many boundaries and it’s also no secret that accessing the VALT and dealing with the somewhat tricky and everchanging rules relating to crypto and web3 integration made the task of scaling a challenging proposition. Technology, as we all know, outpaces legislation and we are already seeing a shift in mindset with a new US administration. I and the team are actively working with new technologies such as WebXR to provide firstly, our users with a more open and composable framework that doesn’t pin its success on any one platform or technology provider. The challenge of balancing a web3 mindset with a web2 framework was always a challenge and you can’t reside in both camps without significant trade-offs.

A New Chapter with a Stronger Foundation

As mentioned, the migration of RFOX and VFOX tokens to the Orange Web3 platform is complete, and with it, we enter a new chapter. All token holders have been successfully migrated to the JUICE (JUC) token, which now powers transactions in the Orange Web3 community and will power the future transactions in the entire RFOX community also. This migration was a big undertaking (encompassing tens of thousands of wallets), and its success is a testament to our community’s commitment.

We wanted to ensure there was adequate time to lay the foundations and a clear process for ensuring the overarching tech we provide can be safely and confidently delivered to both web2 and web3 companies in equal measure. RFOX along with Orange Web3 now become customers to our overarching technology platform.

Post-migration, the existing RFOX users are already benefiting from what Orange’s blockchain offers and will offer, including and not limited to: significantly lower fees, faster transactions, and expanded utility for the holders of JUC. In other words, everyday activities that accompany a creator economy, whether in the VALT or other RFOX products and services, will become easier and cheaper to interact with.

The decision to migrate was made with a long-term vision in mind, and it achieved what we hoped: a broader horizon of possibilities for RFOX. We’ve effectively upgraded our foundation to support the next wave of growth. To be clear, the RFOX and VFOX tokens you knew are now fully transitioned into this new system, and they form the gas that will fuel our ecosystem’s expansion and many other projects expansions soon. This move also aligns with our commitment to progressively decentralise and empower our community in RFOX’s future direction. We believe it sets us up for sustainable success moving forward.

Partners in Progress

One of the most exciting aspects of this new phase is the amazing network of partners working alongside us and adding to the technology we provide or in turn use. RFOX has always believed in collaboration to accelerate innovation, and now that is in full effect. By partnering with other forward-thinking teams and platforms, we’re able to push the envelope further than ever. For example, our collaboration with Orange Web3 means that RFOX’s technology is now part of a larger ecosystem of user-generated content tools, gaming platforms, and more. Many more partners are either being onboarded or have and will help to expand ours and each other’s offerings.

Focused on the Future

As we consolidate these gains and continue forward, our commitment to you is that we will keep innovating and delivering. We’re as passionate now as we were on day one about creating a thriving metaverse ecosystem. We have a passionate and dedicated team of people who have worked tirelessly to ensure our tech is always relevant and useful.

Building on the Orange Web3 foundation gives us a stronger platform than we could have achieved alone. The benefit of being open to creators who can confidently deploy their own economies and not have to deal with everchanging listing requirements for their products, puts them in position A and allows us, to benefit immensely from their structure.

In the coming months, you can expect to hear more about how we’re injecting our technology into new platforms, improving accessibility, and unlocking creative possibilities for users and creators alike. We’ll share updates through official RFOX channels as milestones are reached, keeping you informed of the progress as we go, but without providing token-based updates and roadmap items. We remain firmly dedicated to the vision we outlined from the start: building a future where digital experiences are immersive, user-created, and rewarding for everyone involved. Everything we do, from technical upgrades to partnerships, is guided by that North Star.

Lastly, we want to express our gratitude. The remaining community’s support during the migration and throughout our evolution has been incredible. It’s because of you that RFOX has the strength to adapt and grow. Now, with the migration behind us and a bright road ahead, we feel we’re entering an era of unprecedented opportunity. The future we’ve been talking about is unfolding now and we’re thrilled to have a way to make our technology more accessible to all of you, through our partner network.
